And half silly with joy. The wedding was wonderful, so many people were just gorgeous. It made me so happy to see the diversity of garb, European (modern and various historical or quasi historical periods), Indian, Chinese, Arabian, Indonesian and I'm sure a whole lot more. There were sword fights and sipping chocolate, the cake was spectacular (right down to the pond with ducks, bunnies and frogs), Machitun (south american band, wise, wild and wicked women) were lovely. I have bruises on both my arms from fighting through the grand melee (with foam swords) to be reuinited with my love. We came third in the three legged race and the bridal side won the tug of war :).
Saturday was the biggest, most important day framed by registry stuff on the Friday and a beautiful dawn ceremony on the Sunday. Married by law, Married by community, and Married by the land. It was a wonderful way to give sufficient time and focus to each aspect, very grounding and let us do it the way we wanted.
It was just wonderful in so many ways. Alas I don't have time to write all about it , so thanks again to everyone who came and/or helped and made it such a special experience.
Special request
If you post photos of our day on the web can you please link to them here? Mike(y) and I will be so busy with our iminent departure to china so we won't be able to do a lot of chasing of stuff and it'll also help us distribute to other folks. We'd also love you to put here links to any reflections you have on the day so we can hear different stories :)
Thankyou
Love
